Duke class of 2022: Sky's the limit, even in a mask!
Hi there! I’m Shirin Maleki, and I’m blending worlds as a UI/UX designer and multimedia visual artist. My adventure in art and design started with my BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I went on to earn my MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University, where my MFA thesis was featured in the Duke Chronicle.
What do I do? I weave together the threads of my experiences to create digital stories that resonate. Whether it’s through photography, animation, video production, poetry, or crafting seamless user experiences, my work is all about human experience, the whispers of nature, and our shared moments.
Out of work, you'll likely find me indulging in my love for pilates, hiking and climbing, experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. I also cherish my downtime with board games, dissecting films, or enthusiastically starting a new hobby.
